The 2nd Annual Gingerbread House Contest is open to adults, children or groups

(Scouts, church groups, classrooms, schools, families ect.)

 

 

 

How to Register

Registration form must be submitted by November 15, 2008 to:

or faxed to: 440-356-1091

 

Delivery of the Gingerbread House must be dropped off at the IX Center on

Wednesday: Nov 19 from 10am to 4pm or Thursday: Nov 20 from 10am to 8pm

 

Entries will be displayed and judged during the Christmas Connection show hours. Awarding of prizes will be announced on

Sunday: November 23, 2008 at 12 noon

Rules

 JUDGING CRITERIA
 Entries will be judged in four categories: Overall Appearance, Creativity, Difficulty and Precision.
PRODUCT LIST
            The entry must be made completely of edible products, except for the base. The structure must be primarily gingerbread. Edible materials are not limited to sweets. No artificial display materials, such as Styrofoam or interior lighting, are to be used.
REGISTRATION
            Pre-registration is required and ends November 15, 2008
DELIVERY
            All pre-registered entries should have the competitor’s name, address and phone number on the bottom of the display. All entries must be delivered by 10pm Thursday Nov 20 to the IX Center. Entries can be picked up on Sunday Nov 23 from 6pm to 10pm or Monday Nov 24 from 9am to 4pm. Any entries not picked up will be removed and discarded.
            Each entry will be given 2 (two) tickets to the 2008 Cleveland Christmas Connection at time of drop off of the house.
WHO QUALIFIES
            Open to public. Employees and families of Cleveland Christmas Connection are not permitted to enter.
